The Wiser’s NHL Alumni Series honors some of hockey’s greatest players, and part of the proceeds go to the NHL Alumni Association’s fund that helps retired players facing health or financial issues.

This whisky was matured for 10 years in ex-Bourbon barrels, and celebrates Hockey Hall of Famer Darryl Sittler’s record-setting 10-point game for the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1976. In fact, the blend of 60% rye and 40% wheat corresponds to Sittler’s six goals and four assists that night. The nose is sweet and aromatic with touches of caramel candy, maple, soft oak, and honey. The taste is honey-sweet with a touch of allspice, charred oak, and vanilla for a good balance and complexity. The finish is gentle with a nice balance of spices, honey, and caramel. (June, 2021)
