Beam Suntory’s Alberta Distillers in Calgary followed up their award-winning debut 2019 release of Alberta Premium Cask Strength with this stunning 2020 100% rye whisky. The nose has notes of toasted caramel, subtle spices, and hints of oak and vanilla. The taste is spicy and intense with black pepper, clove, and cinnamon spices that stick to the tongue with vanilla, honey, and toasted caramel in the background. The finish is long and spicy. Wow!
