Balblair 25 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Image courtesy Balblair. This single malt started out in ex-Bourbon barrels and was finished in Spanish Oak ex-Sherry butts, and the nose has touches of peaches, pears, apricots, butterscotch, vanilla, and caramel. The taste is dry and spicy with oak tannins, hints of cedar and sandalwood, a hint of clove, black tea, and honey. The finish is long and dry with lingering spices and a good oakiness.
