Hudson Whiskey "Do The Rye Thing." Image courtesy Hudson Whiskey. This 2020 addition to the Hudson Whiskey range is a 3-year-old Empire Rye, meaning the rye used in the mashbill had to come from New York State farms. The nose has notes of baking spices, dill, a hint of lemon zest, honey, and oak. The taste is tart and spicy with lemon pepper, clove, and cinnamon balanced bu touches of dill, mint, and honey in the background. The finish is long with gentle spices and a hint of citrusy tartness. (October, 2020)
