Booker's Bourbon Batch #2020-01 "Granny's Batch." Image courtesy Beam Suntory. This batch is named in honor of Margaret Beam Noe, known as “Granny Noe” – Jim Beam’s youngest daughter and the mother of Booker Noe. The nose is dry and woody with hints of black pepper, brown sugar, caramel, and a touch of dark chocolate. The taste is spicy with cinnamon, black pepper, and chili powder notes that last and last, eventually fading to reveal honey, vanilla, caramel, and a hint of dark chocolate. The finish is long with lingering spices balanced nicely by a subtle sweetness. (May, 2020)
