Rabbit Hole Boxergrail Rye Whiskey. Image courtesy Rabbit Hole Distilling. This is a sourced Rye whisky distilled in Kentucky and bottled in Louisville by Rabbit Hole, and its name was inspired by a famous Louisville athlete that Rabbit Hole can’t name for obvious reasons. The nose has notes of charred oak, hints of clove and allspice, brown sugar, honey, and butterscotch. The taste has a good balance of dried flowers, lemon zest, soft spices, and touches of pineapple and honey. The finish is long and subtle with hints of ginger, black tea, and honey. (April, 2020)
