New Zealand Whisky Company Dunedin DoubleCask Single Malt Whisky. Image courtesy New Zealand Whisky Company.This release is a combination of 3 and 7-year-old malts matured in a combination of French Oak and American Oak casks. The nose is aromatic with notes of raisins, plums, toffee, and oak tannins. The taste has a nice balance of black cherries, plums, raisins, Christmas cake, and oak tannins. The finish is long and oaky with touches of dark fruits. (March, 2020)
