Sullivan's Cove French Oak Single Cask #TD268. Image courtesy Sullivan's Cove. This Tasmanian single malt was matured for just a month short of 11 years in a French Oak cask previously used to mature Tawny, the Australian fortified wine similar to Port. The nose has notes of raisins, red grapes, a hint of molasses, brandy, toffee, and Christmas cake. The taste is thick, oily, and spicy with clove and allspice notes balanced nicely by honey, raisins, toffee, and Christmas cake. The finish is long, fruity, and luscious! (August, 2019)
