Photo ©2019, Mark Gillespie/CaskStrength Media. This Tasmanian single malt uses a combination of ex-Bourbon and French Oak casks previously used for maturing Tawny, the Australian fortified wine similar to Port, and was matured for slightly more than 10 years. The nose is fruity and floral with notes of fresh berries, dried fruits, red grapes, and hints of honey and brown sugar. The taste is fruity with raspberry jam and a hint of coconut, along with honey, vanilla, and muted spices. The finish is nice and long with a good fruitiness and hints of spices and oak.
