Douglas Laing Remarkable Regional Malts With a Twist. Image courtesy Douglas Laing & Co. This 10-year-old blended malt takes all five of the whiskies in Douglas Laing & Company’s Remarkable Regional Malts range (Big Peat, Scallywag, Timorous Beastie, The Gauldrons, and The Epicurean) and blends them together. The nose is light and floral with notes of honeycomb, straw, and dried, crispy bacon. The taste is rich and complex with honeycomb, tropical fruits, grilled pineapple, and a hint of oak. The finish is long, complex, and subtle. (January, 2019)
