Bruichladdich Rare Cask Series 1984/32. Image courtesy Bruichladdich.This 32-year-old Bruichladdich comes from the distillery’s final 12 casks of 1984 whisky, and recasked into fresh Bourbon casks in 2008.

The nose is nice and oaky with sweet notes of caramel, vanilla, honey, and butterscotch. The taste is sweet and fudgey with touches of spices, dark chocolate, and honey. The spices linger aromatically in the back of your throat with just a hint of oakiness. The finish is short on the palate, but those aromatic notes last and last in the back of your throat.
