Producing WhiskyCast has given me the opportunity to taste some really amazing whiskies, and I’m pleased to share my tasting notes with you here. You can search my entire database of tasting notes from this page, and I hope you’ll find it useful.
This is the “white label” Evan Williams Bottled in Bond Bourbon that’s widely available, and not the slightly older version that’s sold only in Kentucky. However, at a retail price in the $14.99 range, this is one of the true bargains available to Bourbon lovers. The nose is sweet and smooth with notes of caramel, honey, molasses, brown sugar, vanilla, and muted spices. The taste is spicy, but still sweet with black peppercorns, allspice, honey, vanilla, molasses, brown sugar, and caramel candy. The finish is very long with lingering spices and a good underlying sweetness. (April, 2018)
