Blair Athol 2010 Distillery Bottling

Country: Scotland

Region: Highlands

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 55.8%

Score: 93 Points

This is a once-in-a-lifetime bottling of Blair Athol hand-filled at the distillery by Frank Scott of the Lunar Rogue Pub in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The nose is warm and sweet with roasted almonds, berry cobbler, honey, and a touch of maltiness. The taste is bold and spicy with cinnamon and black pepper notes at first, followed by fruity notes of peaches, red apples, and fresh berries that come alive as the spices fade. The finish is dry and fruity with subtle lingering spices. Wow! (November, 2017)
