Gooderham & Worts Little Trinity Canadian Whisky. Image courtesy Corby Spirits & Wine. This 17-year-old three-grain whisky is part of Corby’s Northern Border Collection 2017 Rare Release series, and unlike the standard four-grain Gooderham & Worts (with no age statement), leaves out the barley to let the separately distilled and blended corn, rye, and wheat whiskies shine. The nose is smooth with honey, vanilla, yeasty bread dough, and muted spices. The taste has tart notes of lemon zest and green apples, along with touches of clove, allspice, and ginger spices while honey, vanilla, and a soft oakiness pull it all together in the background. The finish is long, long, long…with green apple tartness and honey sweetness underneath. (November, 2017)
