Glenmorangie Tarlogan. Image courtesy Glenmorangie. The third in Glenmorangie’s Legends Collection of travel retail releases, this single malt was matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and Virgin Oak casks. The nose is fruity with a hint of mango, vanilla, butterscotch, muted spices, and a touch of oak. The taste has a nice spiciness with a good malty touch, as notes of mango, coconut, papaya, ginger, and allspice are nicely balanced. The finish has lingering spices and hints of vanilla and almonds. Very nice. (May, 2016)
