Glenmorangie Côte de Nuits Scotch Whisky. Image courtesy Glenmorangie. This is one of Glenmorangie’s all-time classics, distilled in 1975 and finished for the final three years of maturation in Burgundy wine casks from France’s legendary Domaine de la Romance-Conti before it was bottled in 1999.

The nose is warm, smooth, and inviting with a hint of orange peel, touches of rosemary, hot chocolate/cocoa, vanilla, and honey. The taste is rich, thick, oaky, and tannic with spicy notes of clove and peppercorns balanced by hints of blackberries and apricots. The finish is amazingly long and complex with subtle fruits and a hint of licorice. Outstanding! (September, 2015)
