anCnoc 1999 Highland Single Malt. Image courtesy anCnoc/Inver House. This single malt from Knockdhu Distillery has a warm, fruity, and inviting nose with notes of apple pie, melted caramel, muted spices, and hints of honey. The taste has a good balance of tree fruits at the beginning with a nice clove note that builds up slowly and lasts through the finish. Hints of honey, caramel, and vanilla add a nice dimension of balance underneath. The finish is long with subtle spices and a nice balance of apples and caramel candy. (February, 2015)
