Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey. Image courtesy Teeling Whiskey Company. The Teeling family took Irish single malt whiskey and finished it in five different types of wine casks before blending them together to create this single malt. The result is a spirit with a malty, yet smooth nose with notes of lemon zest, straw, toffee, linseed oil, and vanilla. The taste is dry and well-balanced with lemon zest, a touch of pineapple, coconut, vanilla, clove, and a hint of black pepper. The finish is long, sweet, and slightly oaky. (December, 2014)
