The Last Drop 50-Year-Old Blended Scotch. Image courtesy Last Drop Distillers. This is a different version of The Last Drop 1960 blended Scotch that was released in 2008. Three casks of that blend were held back and re-racked into new oak casks, giving this edition a vibrancy and richness that exceeds the original.

The nose is soft, warm, and gentle with mild notes of allspice, vanilla, caramel ice cream syrup, fudge, and honey. The taste is well-balanced with sweet notes of caramel, fudge, and dark chocolate offsetting spicy touches of cinnamon and clove. Hints of apricots, peaches, and banana pull everything together. The finish is long, smooth, and subtle with soft cinnamon, honey, and fudge notes. Outstanding! (March, 2014)
